2. Use of ConnecTheDot LLC website and our Customers
2.1. “Sensitive Information”
This refers to credit or debit card numbers, personal financial account information, Social Security numbers, passport numbers, driver’s license numbers or similar personal identifiers, racial or ethnic origin, physical or mental health condition or information, or other employment, financial or health information.
2.2. Lawful Purpose
Services provided to or used by the User may only be for lawful purposes. Transmission, storage, copying, or modifying any material or other actions by the User in violation of any Federal, State or Local regulation is prohibited. This includes material legally judged to be threatening or obscene, pornographic, profane, or material protected by trade secrets. This also includes, but is not limited to, material protected by copyright, trade secret, or any other statute, threatening material, or obscene material. Users are prohibited from using ConnecTheDot LLC for the propagation, distribution, housing, processing, storing, or otherwise handling in any way lewd, obscene, or pornographic material, or any other material which ConnecTheDot LLC deems, in its sole discretion, to be objectionable, including, but not limited to, pornography, satanic materials, and any and all materials of an adult nature. This also includes links or any connection to such materials. The designation of any materials as such described above is left entirely to the discretion of the ConnecTheDot LLC management. The User agrees to indemnify and hold harmless and defend ConnecTheDot LLC from any claims resulting from the User’s use or User’s allowed use by others of the Services which damages either ConnecTheDot LLC, its officers, its employees, its directors, its partners, or another party or parties.
3. Information We Collect
ConnecTheDot LLC will not rent, sell, access or in anyway use the client’s customer database information. This information will be kept strictly confidential in the highest manner possible.

We collect the email addresses of those who communicate with us via email, aggregate information on what pages consumers access or visit, approximate location, IP address, and information volunteered by the consumer (such as survey information and/or site registrations).The information we collect is used to improve the content of our Web pages and the quality of our service.
3.2. “Personal Information”
This refers to any information that you voluntarily submit to us and that identifies you personally, including contact information, such as your name, e-mail address, company name, address, phone number, and other information about yourself or your business. The Websites are not intended for or targeted at children under 13, and we do not knowingly or intentionally collect information about children under 13. ConnecTheDot LLC shall keep confidential and shall not disclose to third parties any (i) material, non-public information which it may learn about the User’s business and (ii) any personally identifying information and/or payment information, unless when requested by USER in writing. ConnecTheDot LLC shall be free to use aggregated, anonymized data, including data gathered while performing services under this Agreement and others like it, to provide consulting services similar to those offered to the User or in its marketing materials.

We use Navigational Information to operate and improve the Website. We may also use Navigational Information alone or in combination with Personal Information to provide you with personalized information about ConnecTheDot LLC.

We post customer testimonials, comments, and case studies on our Websites, which may contain Personal Information. We obtain each customer’s consent via email prior to posting the customer’s name, testimonial, and business information.
4.6. Use of Credit Card Information
If you give us credit card information, we use it solely to check your financial qualifications and collect payment from you. We use a third-party service provider to manage credit card processing. This service provider is not permitted to store, retain, or use information you provide except for the sole purpose of credit card processing on our behalf.

We will delete this information from the servers at an earlier date if you so request, as described in “Opting Out and Unsubscribing” below.

If we (or our assets) are acquired by another company, whether by merger, acquisition, bankruptcy or otherwise, that company would receive all information gathered by ConnecTheDot LLC on the Website.

We reserve the right to use or disclose your Personal Information if required by law or if we reasonably believe that use or disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or to comply with a law, court order, or legal process.
5. Navigational Information
From time-to-time we use “cookies” to help you personalize your online experience. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by a Web server. Cookies are not used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you, and can only be read by a Web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you. One of the primary purposes of cookies is to provide a convenience feature to save you time. The purpose of a cookie is to tell the Web server that you have returned to a specific page. When you return to the same Website, the information you previously provided can be retrieved, so you can easily use the customized features.

5.2. Log Files

5.3. Tracking Pixels
We employ a software technology called tracking pixels, that help us better manage the Website by informing us what content is effective. Tracking pixels are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of Web users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user’s computer hard drive, tracking pixels are embedded invisibly on Web pages or in emails and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence. We use tracking pixels in our HTML-based emails to let us know which emails have been opened by recipients. This allows us to gauge the effectiveness of certain communications and the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. 5.4. Metrics and Analytics
ConnecTheDot LLC collects information about accesses (such as clicks) of every ConnecTheDot LLC Link created through the Services. This information includes, but is not limited to: (i) the IP address and physical location of the devices accessing the ConnecTheDot LLC Link; (ii) the referring websites or services; (iii) the time and date of each access; and (iv) information about sharing of the ConnecTheDot LLC Link on Third Party Services such as Twitter and Facebook. These metrics and analytics are used by ConnecTheDot LLC and its partners to improve their websites and services by, for example, providing value-added features.

7. Content Submission
7.1 Content Submitted or Made Available for Inclusion on the Service (CLIENT) The above-named “CLIENT” (hereinafter referred to as “You”) are solely responsible for your use of (Content Supplied) in combination with any other images, graphics, text or other materials you want to be incorporated into the ConnecTheDot LLC products and services. You agree that you will not include any text, image, design, trademark, service mark, or any copyrighted work of any third party in your (Content Supplied) unless you have obtained the appropriate authorizations from the owners. You warrant that your (Content Supplied) does not infringe upon any rights of any third party, including copyright, trademark, right of publicity or privacy, and will not libel or defame any third party, and that you have all required rights or permissions necessary to incorporate third-party material into your (Content Supplied). By contracting with ConnecTheDot LLC, you warrant that you have all necessary permission, right and authority to use the (Content Supplied) and you authorize ConnecTheDot LLC to produce use the (Content Supplied) on your behalf.
7.2 Copyright Policy
By using the services of ConnecTheDot LLC, you warrant that the subject matter to be used is not copyrighted by a third party. You also recognize that because subject matter does not have to bear a copyright notice to be protected by copyright law, absence of such notice does not necessarily assure a right to reproduce. You further warrant that no copyright notice has been removed from any material used in preparing the subject matter for reproduction.
To support these warranties, you agree to indemnify and hold ConnecTheDot LLC harmless for all liability, damages, and attorney fees that may be incurred in any legal action connected with copyright infringement involving the work being printed.
CONNECTHEDOT LLC reserves the right in its sole discretion to terminate or modify permission to display the logo, and may request that third parties modify or delete any use of the collateral that, in our sole judgment, does not comply with these guidelines, or might otherwise impair our rights in the logo.
- As a general rule, third parties may not use the CONNECTHEDOT LLC logo, unless approved logo artwork is provided by us.
- The logo may not be used in any manner that might imply that any non-CONNECTHEDOT LLC materials, including but not limited to goods, services, websites, or publications, are sponsored, endorsed, licensed by, or affiliated with CONNECTHEDOT LLC.
- The logo may not be displayed as a primary or prominent feature on any non-CONNECTHEDOT LLC materials. Companies using the logo pursuant to these guidelines must also display in the primary and more prominent position, their own logo(s), business name, product names, or other branding.
- The logo may not be imitated or used as a design feature in any manner.
- The logo may not be used in a manner that would disparage CONNECTHEDOT LLC or its products or services.
- Neither the logo nor any part of the CONNECTHEDOT LLC name (e.g. ONTRA) may be used in any other company name, product name, service name, domain name, website title, publication title, or the like.
- Non-CONNECTHEDOT LLC materials should not mimic any CONNECTHEDOT LLC advertising, product packaging, or website design.
- The logo must be used as provided by CONNECTHEDOT LLC with no changes, including but not limited to changes in the color, proportion, or design, or removal of any words or artwork. The logo may not be animated, morphed, or otherwise distorted in perspective or appearance.
- The logo must stand alone and may not be combined with any other object, including but not limited to other logos, words, graphics, photos, slogans, numbers, design features, or symbols. The logo must never be used to represent the word CONNECTHEDOT LLC in text, including in a headline, product-name logotype, or body copy.
- The logo must not be incorporated or used in any manner as part of, or in close proximity to another company’s name, domain name, product or service name, logo, trade dress, design, slogan, or other trademarks.
- The look and feel of the Service is copyright ©2015-2018 CONNECTHEDOT LLC, All rights reserved. You may not duplicate, copy, or reuse any portion of the application.
- CONNECTHEDOT LLC further reserves the right to object to unfair uses or misuses of its trademarks or other violations of applicable law. For real, don’t mess with the logo or our trademarked name.
7.3 Terms of Sale
Full payment is required to complete an order. No work will proceed until full payment is received. No refunds will be given for orders that have been received by prepress department.
7.4 Refund Policy
All sales are final, unless otherwise noted. After an order, has been paid, and design has commenced, you are responsible for paying the entire amount of that order, unless otherwise noted. In some cases, a refund may be extended to you if no work has been completed by ConnecTheDot LLC for that order. In such cases, you will be charged a $49 cancellation fee, which would be in addition to any fees charged for any possible hard costs outside of what ConnecTheDot LLC provides if applicable. In some cases, an order may be voided the same day the order was placed if no work has been completed by the ConnecTheDot LLC for that order.
You will indemnify and hold harmless ConnecTheDot LLC from any and all losses, cost expenses, and damages on any and all manner of claims, demands, actions, and proceedings that may be instituted against the ConnecTheDot LLC on the grounds alleging that said printing violates any copyright or any proprietary right of any person.

GDPR and CONNECTHEDOT LLC
What is GDPR?
GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) is a new set of rules – effective beginning May 25, 2018 – imposed by the European Union on all organizations worldwide that collect or process data about EU citizens.
It’s a complicated set of regulations, and we are not attorneys so you’ll want to do your own research on GDPR compliance and handle it appropriately for your organization.
This section outlines CONNECTHEDOT LLC’s compliance with our part of GDPR, and the ways in which we help you comply with your part.
How we help you comply with your part:
GDPR imbues EU citizens with several new rights regarding their personal data and privacy. Some of them relate to how you manage the data you store. These include:
- Right of access: Individuals can ask to see the information you have stored about them. You can honor those requests by exporting their contact data on request and sending it to them.
- Right to recertification: Individuals can ask to have the data you store about them updated. You can honor those requests with forms or by manually updating their data in CONNECTHEDOT LLC.
- Right to erasure: Individuals can ask to have their data erased. You can honor those requests by deleting their records in CONNECTHEDOT LLC.
- Right to restrict processing: Individuals can ask you to stop processing their data. When they do, all you’ll be allowed to do with that data is to store it. For simplicity’s sake, we’d recommend deleting the data of contacts who exercise this right.
- Right to data portability: Individuals can ask to have their data sent to another Data Controller. You can honor those requests by sending the data via CSV after export from CONNECTHEDOT LLC.
Responsibilities as a Data Controller
Please note that as part of CONNECTHEDOT LLC’s Terms of Service, you indemnify CONNECTHEDOT LLC for any legal responsibility arising out of your failure to comply with GDPR.
Responsibilities as the ‘Data Processor’, ‘Ontraport’
As a technical services provider who stores the personal information of EU citizens on behalf of Data Controllers, Ontraport has certain responsibilities under GDPR which we comply with, including:
Managing Data Processing – Ontraport has clear documentation on where our data comes from, how it is stored, and where it goes after we get it. Ontraport will only process personal data on instructions from the controller, and inform the controller if it believes said instruction infringes on the GDPR (28.3)
Accountability and Governance – As a PCI-compliant handler of sensitive consumer data, Ontraport is subject to — and adheres to — incredibly strict and detailed physical, technical and organizational data management and security policies. Ontraport takes extraordinary steps to secure your data, ensure stability and uptime, manage data backup and disaster recovery, and regularly test security (32.1)
Authorized Use of Sub-Processors – Ontraport uses sub-processors as a routine part of offering our service. It is our responsibility to ensure our subcontractors comply with GDPR, and we will comply with those rules. As a Data Controller, your agreement to our use of sub-processors is part of our legal Terms of Service and required to be an Ontraport user. We maintain a list of sub-processors here for your review: Amazon Web Services, Liquid Web, UnitedLayer, and any payment gateway that you connect to your account. (28.2)
Maintain Records of Processing Activities – Ontraport is unique in the level of detail we record and display to you about data processing activity in your account. (30)
Notification of Breach – Ontraport will comply with the GDPR with respect to any data breach. (33.2)
